Dear Violet Family Dental patients,
We are grateful and excited that Governor DeWine is allowing us to see patients again after a long six weeks. We have been busy readying our office and amassing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to keep you and our team safe. With that said, we still have only enough PPE for emergencies. Therefore, when we reopen on May 4, we must concentrate on seeing patients with pressing dental concerns. Once we are able to secure enough PPE to return to a normal schedule and/or have seen all emergency patients, we will reach out to all recall patients (those who had appointments cancelled in March or April and those currently scheduled for May) for rescheduling. Please note, don’t call the office this week unless you receive a call from us to reschedule your appointment. The only exception is if you have an emergency.
While Governor DeWine said that offices may open “full steam ahead,” there will be significant changes to our operations to keep our office as safe as possible. 1) Appointments will only be made over the phone, and staff will ask you a series of health questions at that time. 2) We will have a parking lot waiting room. Upon your arrival at the office, please text us at 614-575-1155 to let us know. A member of the staff will check you in at your car and take your temperature with a touchless thermometer. Anyone with a temperature above 99.8 degrees will be asked to reschedule. 3) We will limit the number of patients/people in the office at a given time by decreasing the number of patients scheduled at one time. Further, only the person with the appointment will be allowed in the office. Any exceptions can be discussed with staff when appointment is scheduled. 4) We ask that everyone wear a mask or face covering during check-in and within the office. 5) Finally, if a patient or anyone in the household has symptoms such as fever, cough, or respiratory issues, or has been exposed to COVID-19, please cancel your appointment and reschedule once you are symptom free and following a 14-day quarantine. Alternatively, if you have traveled out of the state, please wait to be seen until 14 days after your return.
We plan to be as efficient as possible when we reopen, but please be patient as we try to accommodate a large number of patients while only having the PPE and space to see a limited number of people at a time. Please be aware that we may not be able to honor your preferences for appointments during this extremely busy time, and be patient as we work out our new normal. While things will be a little different for a while, we promise that we will work to provide the same friendly and thorough service as always.
We thank you for your support through this challenging time. We have missed all of you so much and cannot wait to see you soon! To stay updated on how our office is responding, please follow our office Facebook page for updates.
